Hypermiling is the technique of getting the most gas mileage from your car. The term was invented by hypermiler proponent Wayne Gerdes of Chicago who advocates safe and fuel efficient driving techniques to save gas. It can involve many things but will include hypermiling tips like maintaining you car in peak condition, adjusting your driving manner and sometimes even changing the type of car you drive if this is possible.
